Nature’s Lifeline for People and Planet
Trees provide clean air by absorbing carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen; they offer shade, regulate temperatures, and protect against soil erosion; they support biodiversity, offering shelter and food to countless wildlife species; they fuel sustainable industries, from furniture and paper to traditional medicine; they create jobs and economic opportunities in the forestry and natural products sectors.
Inspiring Communities to Live in Harmony with Nature.
My Green Life inspires individuals and communities to live in harmony with nature. By supporting initiatives like Arbor Week, we aim to not only protect our existing green spaces but also grow new ones — planting the seeds for a healthier, more resilient planet.
My Green Life, which champions natural, eco-friendly products that respect and protect our environment, is dedicated to promoting sustainable living through mindful choices. From sourcing cruelty-free, biodegradable, and locally made goods to encourage waste reduction.
This Year’s Focus is – White Milkwood (Sideroxylon inerme subsp. inerme) and Red Milkwood (Mimusops caffra). Both these indigenous trees are vital to South Africa’s coastal and forest ecosystems and represent our commitment to preserving biodiversity.
You support the planet:
- By planting a tree in your garden, in school grounds, or in the community;
- By choosing to buy certified woodfibre-based products over fossil-based alternatives;
- By educating and involving children and local communities in tree-planting activities;
- By promoting green spaces for healthier, happier living environments as green spaces uplift our moods, purify the air, and connect us to nature.
Let’s work together to build a greener, more resilient South Africa — one tree at a time.
